Dr. M. Jaiganesh boasts a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the field of Information Technology and Computer Science. Currently serving as a Professor at the Department of Information Technology, Karpagam College of Engineering in Coimbatore since June 2022, he has significantly contributed to academic and research advancements. Prior to this role, he was an Associate Professor at Jain University, Bangalore from 2020 and at CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad between 2017 and 2020. His extensive experience also includes a notable tenure at PSNA College of Engineering and Technology in Dindigul from 2006 to 2017, where he transitioned from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, and an early career stint as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul from 2002 to 2004. Dr. Jaiganesh’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, where his thesis was awarded the highest grade level of Highly Commended. He also holds an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the same institution and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University. His commitment to academic excellence is further evidenced by his various roles, including serving as a mentor for national initiatives like the Smart India Hackathon and the CSIR Summer Research Training Programme, and coordinating significant events such as the Smart India Hackathon and CIENCIA 2K19 symposium at CVR College of Engineering. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Jaiganesh has been recognized for his innovative research and contributions to the field. He has received multiple accolades, including the People Award from the Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association for his article on GSM-based traffic control systems, and Best Paper Awards at prestigious conferences. His areas of expertise include cloud computing, big data analytics, and machine learning, among others. Dr. Jaiganesh’s research supervision is well-recognized, with several Ph.D. students under his guidance. He has also made international presentations, such as at the International Conference on Computing, Mathematics, and Statistics in Malaysia, and holds innovation patents from both the Australian Government IP Australia and Indian innovation patents.
