Dr. Abrity Thakur is a distinguished Assistant Professor in the Department of Career Development Center and Placement at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, NCR Campus, Ghaziabad. Originally from Madhubani, Bihar, Dr. Thakur has carved a niche for herself in the academic world with a PhD in English Literature from LNMU, Darbhanga. Dr. Thakur is a fervent believer in the potent influence of the written word, encapsulated in her belief that “the pen is mightier than the sword.” She consistently uses her writing to express her ideas and perspectives, making significant contributions to the literary field. Her academic achievements include the publication of research papers in both national and international journals, as well as contributions to Hindi anthologies. Her literary philosophy is deeply influenced by William Wordsworth, whom she quotes in saying poetry is “the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility.” Dr. Thakur’s approach to teaching and writing reflects this poetic vision, enriching her interactions with students and peers with a depth of understanding and emotional intelligence.
