Dr. Arvind R. Yadav is a distinguished expert in the field of Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Image Processing. He earned his PhD from the esteemed IIT Roorkee in 2016. With over two decades of teaching experience, he currently holds the position of a Professor in the Electronics & Communication Engineering department at Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology, Parul University, Vadodara. Dr. Yadav’s impressive academic journey includes not only mentoring and guiding numerous PhD candidates but also successfully supervising and completing international projects. Notably, he secured an £80,000 grant from the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, for a project titled “AI, IoT, and Digital Technologies for Future Sustainable Smart Cities.” His current research efforts are directed towards developing an open-access web portal for predictive analysis and visualization of maternal and child under-nutrition in India, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with a grant of ₹53 lakhs. Dr. Yadav’s extensive contributions to academia include 16 journal papers in SCI/SCIE/Scopus-indexed journals published by reputable publishers like Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, World Scientific, and Inderscience. Additionally, he has presented his research findings at more than 53 national and international conferences, including IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer, with a primary focus on signal, image, and video processing, particularly in the medical field. His expertise also extends to the application of machine learning and deep learning techniques in object recognition and classification. Dr. Arvind R. Yadav’s work continues to make a significant impact in the field of Electrical Engineering and beyond.
