Dr. Daison Stallon Samuel Raj is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya Barcelona Tech (UPC) in Spain, focusing on digital twin wind turbines. His extensive educational background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, with a specialization in DFIG-Grid Connected Systems, an MBA in Technology Management from Bharathiar University, and an M.Tech in Renewable Energy Technologies from Karunya University. He has also completed a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dr.N.G.P Institute of Technology, and a DEEE from Karpagam Polytechnic College, both in Coimbatore. His academic journey is marked by a consistent first-class performance across all degrees, underscoring his commitment to excellence. Dr. Raj’s professional interests span a diverse array of fields, including renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, green building, electrical drives and controls, and technology management. His proficiency in various software tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK, LABVIEW, PSPICE, PSIM, Open FAST, and TurbSIM further complements his research capabilities. In addition to his technical expertise, Dr. Raj has held numerous positions of responsibility, including I-Campuz coordinator, IETE and IAEMP faculty coordinator, alumni chairman, and vice chairman of the IEEE student chapter. His leadership roles extend to mentoring student startups and contributing to the National Service Scheme and various institutional committees. Dr. Raj has a distinguished record of achievements and accolades, including multiple teaching awards, international research contributions, and professional memberships in prestigious societies. He has published extensively in international journals and conferences, delivered numerous guest lectures, and acted as a technical resource person for various programs. His collaborative efforts with international universities and his involvement in significant projects, such as his role as a technical expert in a Shenzhen-China-Barcelona-Spain entrepreneurs’ conference, highlight his global engagement and influence. Dr. Raj’s contributions to the field are also reflected in his patents and authored books, showcasing his innovative approach and dedication to advancing engineering and technology.
