Dr. A. Kamaraj, an esteemed Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, brings over 17 years of academic and research experience. His educational journey began with a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College), followed by a Master’s in VLSI Design (Kongu Engineering College), culminating in a Ph.D. in Information & Communication from Anna University, where his research focused on reversible logic gates and circuits for advanced arithmetic applications.
With a robust foundation in VLSI design, Dr. Kamaraj has pioneered innovations, evidenced by two granted patents and two pending applications, notably in areas like intelligent helmets and advanced parallel processors. He has also secured three copyright registrations, co-authoring instructional manuals in VLSI Design that serve as foundational resources for students and educators alike.
Dr. Kamaraj’s research portfolio includes 54 publications spanning SCI, Scopus-indexed journals, and conferences. His work, covering topics from quantum cellular automata to fault-tolerant computing, has garnered significant attention with 167 citations on Google Scholar and an h-index of 7. His academic contributions extend to book chapters with leading publishers like Springer, reinforcing his commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.
Beyond academia, Dr. Kamaraj is proficient in FPGA-based systems, skilled in software tools like Xilinx ISE and ModelSim, and adept in HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL), empowering him to instruct and mentor students in subjects including Linear Integrated Circuits, Computer Architecture, and Low Power VLSI Design.
