Dr. R. Meena is a distinguished Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Easwari Engineering College, Chennai, with over 12 years of teaching and research experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Data Analysis from Anna University, specializing in Social Sentiment Analysis on COVID-19 Tweets using Deep Learning Optimization, along with an MBA in Human Resource Management. Her interdisciplinary expertise bridges technical excellence with leadership, making her a key contributor to both academia and industry.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Meena has authored several SCI and Scopus-indexed journal publications, including a WHO-listed research paper on COVID-19 in 2022. She has also co-authored books such as Python Programming (2017) and Computer Vision (2024) and holds a patent for an AIoT-Based Walking Stick for Visually Impaired People. Her passion for innovation extends beyond research, as she has actively guided six research projects, leading to journal publications, conference papers, and patents. Additionally, she plays a significant role in technical training, social media coordination, and digital marketing within her academic community.
Dr. Meena’s dedication to education has earned her accolades, including recognition among the Top 3 Best Educators by ICT Academy in 2018. She has delivered expert talks at esteemed institutions like Madras Christian College, Prathyusha Engineering College, and Sri Ram Engineering College. Her research focuses on Machine Learning, Deep Learning Optimization, Social Media Sentiment Analysis, and Assistive Technologies, with applications in healthcare, education, and accessibility. As a passionate mentor and thought leader, she continues to inspire students and professionals in the fields of AI, Data Science, and Professional Development.
