Dr. Ravishankar Dudhe is a distinguished figure in the field of sustainable energy and academia with an illustrious career that spans over three decades. He holds a doctorate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, India. Currently, Dr. Dudhe serves as the Ph.D. coordinator and Associate Professor Senior scale at the School of Engineering and IT, at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai Campus, where he is also the research co-coordinator. Dr. Dudhe has an intense passion for promoting sustainability among the youth. He led a team of students in the DEWA Solar Decathlon ME 2021, focusing on research and innovation for designing a NETZERO solar-powered house. As the Co-Ordinator for the Energy Swaraj Foundation—an IIT Bombay initiative—Dr. Dudhe aims to make every individual energy literate and self-sustainable. His efforts have seen over 1500 students becoming “Solar Ambassadors” through hands-on training in solar lamp assembly at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai Campus. His projects often integrate sustainable solutions, evident in his leadership in the development of a solar-based automatic vegetable sorter and a solar-based smart and safe car kit, the latter funded by EXPO 2020, Dubai. Dr. Dudhe’s ethos is deeply influenced by Gandhian philosophy, emphasizing “Production by Masses and not Mass Production,” advocating for sustainable and inclusive growth. In addition to his practical endeavors, Dr. Dudhe is a prolific researcher and author, having published over 50 research papers in internationally reputed journals and conferences. His research interests span a variety of fields including VLSI, Smart and Sustainable Practices, IoT, Happiness & Wellbeing, and Organic Electronics. He has also authored several books on topics ranging from Analog Electronics to Satellite Communication and Organic Field Effect Transistor-based Electronics Nose platforms for Explosive Detection. A recipient of multiple Excellent Faculty Awards, Dr. Dudhe is a respected member of several advisory boards and editorial/review committees. He holds lifetime memberships in esteemed organizations such as ISTE, IETE, and is also a member of IET. Dr. Ravishankar Dudhe’s dedication not only to his field but to the well-being and happiness of those around him reflects his holistic approach to education and sustainability, making him a beloved and impactful figure in both academic and professional circles.
