Dr. Vadivel Sengazhani Murugesan presently working as an Assistant Professor in VIT business school, Chennai Campus. He has completed his doctorate degree in Engineering Management from the Department School of Management, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), in November 2020. He has received Master of Science (by Research) in Operations Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) in 2015. He also completed his Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering specialization in Government of Technology, Anna University – Coimbatore in 2011, Tamil Nadu. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (2009) from the College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He also attained Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (2003) in Sri Ramakrishna Mission Technical Institute, Mylapore, and Chennai. He has over six years of Industrial experience in various manufacturing and service industries and five years of Teaching and Seven years of Research experience. His research interests include Operations Research, Production Management, Lean Service and Sustainability, Workplace Ergonomics, Supply Chain Management, Facility Planning and Design, and MCDM methods. He has published 40 various National and International journals and participated in 20 International conferences such as IITs,IIMs,NITs, NUS Singapore, Kumamoto University Japan during the period 2016-2020. He won the best paper award in NUS Singapore on Sept.28-30, 2018 for the titled “Green postal service design using QFD model from the customers perspective”. He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) and Society of Operations Management (SOM). He wish is to explore knowledge in all perspectives of Engineering and Management area and the only way to attain is the medium of teaching is the best solution for learning, acquiring knowledge and giving to the society in a meaningful way.
